Shane & Shaybree's Wedding

The second big wedding of the summer was on June 28th. This was Shane and Shaybree's wedding in Marshalltown, Iowa. Nick and I met Shane and Shaybree our freshman year of college when Nick went to Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. Nick and Shane lived in the same dorm that year. Their wedding had a tropical theme, and was a lot of fun. Shane and Shaybree just got back from their honeymoon in Cabo, and are now living together in Marshalltown. Shane works at Rain and Hail insurance in Des Moines, and Shaybree is a radiographer at Marshalltown Hospital.

Mike & Maria's Wedding

For those of you that don't know, Nick and I will be attending three weddings in Iowa this summer. The first of these weddings was June 7th in Waukon, Iowa. My good friend from UNI, Maria got married to her high school boyfriend, Mike. I met Maria when we both lived on the same floor in Campbell Hall our freshman year at UNI. The wedding was a great time, and it even managed to hold off on the rain until we got to the reception. Mike and Maria are back from their Florida honeymoon and are living in Urbandale, Iowa where Mike works at a bank and Maria will teach at an elementary school this fall. We miss them a lot and look forward to hanging out with them anytime we make it to Iowa.
