Today we went and got our golden retriever puppy Herky from the breeder outside of Aplington. We had seen him several times before, once at 3 days, and again at 4 weeks and we chose Herky as our puppy last Sunday. Today he was 6 1/2 weeks old, which is old enough to come and live with us! He did very well and only cried some on the car ride home. But he met many new people today at the golf course in Dike and at a early 4th of July BBQ and fireworks celebration and Nick's parents, Bill and Lisa's house. Overall it was a good day and he was a very friendly puppy.
