Every year the Optometry School hosts a formal dinner and dance called the EyeBall. This year it was on Saturday, February 9th at the MCL Ballroom in Bloomington. We arrived at 6 pm for social hour and wine. At 7 pm they began serving dinner, which was salad, carrots, green beans, potatoes (which they ran out of), chicken, and roast beef. There were a variety of desserts including cheesecake, chocolate pie, and strawberry cheesecake. Since the first year students chose tables last, we were stuck in the back, and got to eat last. So unfortunately we didn't get any potatoes...and during a lot of the presentations we had trouble hearing. After dinner there were several speakers about events in the optometry school. They gave awards for the favorite professor and favorite AI (Assistant Instructor) that each class had voted on. The third years also made a video, which was very hard for us to hear in the back. After the presentations were over it was time for the dance to begin! After a bit of socializing and dancing, a group of us left to go to Sylvia's apartment. We made snacks, talked, and played a fun game called Blockus.
